Triple-A Padres?

Sorry I haven't update anything on my blog. I've been pretty busy. The not-so-good-new it that I'm going to high school as a freshman next week. Boo.

Anyway, my boys have not been playing so great lately. They are looking more like Triple-A Beavers Padres. The way they are performing on the mound and plate bothers the heck out of me. It's so frustrating that we are heading towards 3/4 of the season and they have done nothing but terrible things. Oh, and they are in a four-game losing streak starting from Sunday. Not good at all boys, not good.

I don't even want to recap the games that the Padres LOST. They stand 23 games back from first in NL West with 37-57 record. I just don't get why this team is looking more like last year AKA 99-loss season. Did they learn anything from last season? I don't think so. Including last offseason and this year, we gave away five vetrans. Names with chronological order? Khalil Greene, Trevor Hoffman, Jody Gerut, Scott Hairston, and now Cla Meredith. All of them were so important to the Padres and fans. The only move I completely understand is trading Jody Gerut for Tony Gwynn. Tony has done phenominal job for us and I'm really proud of him.

Why on Earth we are missing so many vetrans we loved in San Diego? OK. We have four vetrans on this team right now. They are David Eckstein, Cliff Floyd, Henry Blanco and Brian Giles. All four of them are on the DL. Good news is that both Eck and Henry are very close to return. I missed Eck so much on the field. He always brings something that makes the team work together and does every little things that will help the Padres win. Basically, we are screwed without him. Henry Blanco is an well-experienced vetran and definitely teaches young kids with anything. It's unfortunate that Cliff Floyd won't return with Eck and Blanco. Brian Giles has been struggling and I don't mind if he comes back late this season.

This team is looking more like a group of young kids. Well, Adrian and Kouz are doing a good job. Rookies obviously does not have any experience in the big leagues and taking baby steps to do whatever they can for the team. They need to make a SOS sign so the vetrans can help them. The player Padres need RIGHT NOW is David Eckstein, no doubt. I need him, rookies need him, and the whole team needs him.

Eck will return this weekend against the Nationals instead of the Phillies. After today's game against the Marlins, Padres are on a road trip. They will play at Philadelphia tomorrow as a make-up game since there was a rain delay all the way back in April. I'm hoping that Kevin Correia will do a great job against 2008 World Series MVP Cole Hammels. Kevin is our new ace on the mound and in fact, it's true.

Padres just completed a seven-game homestand with 1-6 record and a total of 12 runs scored. Yikes. My good luck baseball helped the Padres win when I attended a game on Saturday. I need to go to more games so they can win since I'm going to bring more luck. Winning game is not all about luck but still, it's the least the teams can do to get a victory. Losing three games out of four and getting swept at home is just unacceptable.

By the way, Kevin Correia could be next Padre on the market. I just hope that we can keep him. He's been doing a great job trying to get the team back together. Say that the Padres give him away, we are going to get young pitchers/hitters and not those who knows what to do in the Majors. I need to have words with the Padres front office.

NO. I am not giving up on them forever. It's just frustrating and I'm describing this situation with harsh words. They just can't play like this anymore. We are heading towards the finish line sooner or later and I don't want my team to known as "back-to-back under .500 club." Boys, please do whatever you can and get your heads in the game. If that doesn't work, something bad and serious is going to happen to me.

Padres are playing the Nationals! What a joy! If they can't take the series then something is VERY wrong. Rockies and Marlins crushed us at homestand and it was very embarassing. It's time to get serious and no more excuses for my San Diego Padres.

David Eckstein is an asset to the Padres, well it's a tough stretch for the Padres, they should be just fine. If they can get on a hot streak, they can add some pressure to the other teams on top of them in the NL West.

They definitely have looked really bad lately. More like a minor league team.

All we have to is keep the faith with the Padres and hopefully they will turn it around next year. GO Adrian Gonzalez. P.S. I dont start school yet.

You start school next week?
Hope the Padres can beat the Nats. They really need to pick it up!

Oooooo. Triple-A Padres? That's a shot. Ouch. I'm sure the shutout to Florida tonight did not help things. I see your team making some serious trade deadline deals in order to upgrade for the second half of the season. Then they can see what offseason moves they need to make. So that should be fun, at least.

Things may be grim right now, but Moorad will take the team in the right direction. And Gwynn is a great name to have in SD.

Well, if you consider the Padres a Triple-A team, at least you'll have an even matchup in Washington. Mabye even unfair, in your favor.

Maybe your AAA Padres can face my AA Mets in a face-off to see who should play the single-A Nationals in the Little League World Series. Hmmm, now there's a thought for a future blog. Watch this space :-)

I'm sorry the Padres aren't performing well lately :[ It's ok, all teams have those days (seasons, for the Mariners!) so don't worry! We all have slumps. You're a trooper fan to love them no matter what :] The Pads are lucky!
And aww thanks for the congrats! I didn't know about it until I read your comment! xoxo http://diamondgirl55.mlblogs.com

Congratulations on starting high school. It will be a new adventure for you, new friends, probably you will meet more Padres fans. I can't say enough how badly the Dodgers were doing this time last season. Everyone was disgusted, unhappy and pretty much had given up. Then it turned. Keep your chin up. No one knows how this season will end up.

I'm feeling ya, girl. This team is sooooo pathetic, I haven't even been listening to the games. I mean, what are the fans supposed to do while we're being rebuilt?? It's too misterable to watch all the losses. And seriously, we need to get to the ballpark more often!! well, GO PADRES!!!

I heard about that Edgar Gonzalez injury, pretty nasty. I think the Red Sox will get Adrian because they seem to like breaking up families from other teams lol. I feel bad for you, I don't go back to school until after Labor Day in September.

In May, the Rockies were a very sad team, it didn't look like they were going to turn it around, and yet, they managed to. I can only hope that the Padres will do the same, well, I guess it's not something I actually hope since we're in the same division, but I would like to see them in front of the Diamondbacks.
